Meet Paul Pluymen, LPC, LCDC
I have been in this field for years, and thoroughly enjoy my work with clients. I have done therapy in various clinical settings, including residential mental health treatment centers focused on severe mood disorders, group therapy practices, and community service centers providing counseling for those struggling with substance use.
I obtained my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have a background in social psychology research which has fueled my interest in others’ stories.
Welcome.
I am glad you are here. I am hopeful I can be of help in your journey to healing.
I work with adults (age 18+), families, and provide consultation to either professionals or family members seeking clinical guidance for a loved one who is struggling.
My role as a therapist is to help you discover more about yourself; to identify patterns in your life that no longer serve you, and guide you through meaningful transformation. To do that, I use a variety of therapeutic modalities in my work as each person requires a tailored approach to their unique challenges.
I often utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) to assist in healing traumatic experiences, and I work with severe mood disorders or behaviors that are greatly impacting your life.
